This notice follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Visiting this website

The website is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When you open a page, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the time, the page requested, the referrer and browser details, in order to deliver the pages and fend off attacks. Cloudflare is certified under the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

We use no cookies, no tracking and no analytics tools. Typefaces and graphics are served from our own server; no data is sent to Google or other third parties when you visit. The calculator runs entirely in your browser, and what you enter does not leave your device.

3. Contact by email and the proposal form

The form on the “Proposal” page transmits nothing: it opens your email program with a prepared text that you send yourself. When you write to us, we process your name, email address, company and the content of your message in order to answer your enquiry, prepare a proposal and, where applicable, conclude and perform a contract.

Our mailbox is a Gmail account from Google (Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC, USA); Google is certified under the Data Privacy Framework. Messages are read and answered by Foreman, an AI agent that runs on language models from Anthropic (Anthropic Ireland Ltd. and Anthropic, PBC, USA). In the process, the content of your message is transmitted to Anthropic and processed there, including in the USA.

Foreman makes no automated individual decisions with legal effect for you. Prices, proposals and contracts are approved by a person.

4. Approaching companies

We write to selected companies in Switzerland individually by email. For this we use publicly available business details from their own website: company name, business address, general email address, the name of the management and the processes described there. Anyone who does not want further messages replies “Stop”; the address goes on our suppression list and is not contacted again. We keep the suppression list so that it stays that way.

5. Transfers abroad

The providers named may process data in the USA and other countries. Where a country does not offer adequate data protection, we rely on certification under the Data Privacy Framework, on contractual safeguards of the providers such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, or on the statutory exceptions, in particular where the transfer is necessary to handle your enquiry or a contract with you.

6. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as the purpose requires. Business correspondence and accounting records are kept for up to ten years, as the law requires. Documents we receive for a project are deleted at handover unless we are required to keep them.

7. Legal bases under the GDPR

Where the GDPR applies, we base processing on the preparation and performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), on our legitimate interest in a secure website and in approaching business clients (Art. 6(1)(f)), and on statutory retention obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).

8. Your rights

You can request information about your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its processing and ask for it in a common format. To do so, write to wellbourne.foreman@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you live in the EU, with your supervisory authority.
